A new timetable is being introduced for the 544 bus route. Pensioners wrote to Liberal Democrat campaigner Eric Hyde to ask if the bus route could be retimed by 20 minutes to allow their passes to be used in Little Lever. An improved service with better intervals between buses will now also come into affect for Darcy Lever residents. Eric is pleased to announce that since July the new service leaves from 9.25am at the junction of Redcar Road and Church Street.

In the field to the left, there a sheep against the fence that erm.... doesn't look very alive!? (Could be mistaken, but it didn't move and I couldn't see it breathing!) Thought someone should know because it's kinda tucked down a slope
