Mystery of Heaton Avenue street lamp
Worried Heaton Avenue (Little Lever and Darcy Lever ward) residents are wondering what is going on with the new lamp post that has been left exposed.
Eric Hyde’s Liberal Democrat team has received scores of complaints about the street lamp.
The old one was partially demolished and a new column was put up next to it. A hole has been left in the ground with an exposed cable (the end of which has been taped).
Now residents want to know if the lamp is going to be connected any time soon.
Eric said: “We have contacted the council to find out just when United Utilities will connect the new lighting column.”
